AIoD Open Call 2 – Public Sector

AIoD is looking for AI innovators to accelerate the adoption of trustworthy, ethical, and transparent AI. If you have a mature AI product, this is your opportunity to integrate it into the AI-on-Demand Platform, validate your business model, and deploy your solution with real Public Sector AI Adopters.

Selected applicants enter a competitive, 2-stage funnel programme, where AI Providers can receive up to €60,000 in total funding and AI Adopters can receive up to €15,000.

What We Offer

  • Financial Support: Up to €60,000 for AI Providers (disbursed in lump sums across 2 stages) and up to €15,000 for AI Adopters.

Who Can Apply?

  • Eligible entities: AI Providers who are single legal entities: startups, SMEs, or research organisations (RTOs or academia). Note: Stage 2 requires forming a consortium with a Public Sector AI Adopter.
  • Geography: Officially registered in an EU Member State or DIGITAL Europe associated country.
  • Technical readiness: AI Products at TRL 7 or above.
  • Technical aspects: Delivered in a containerised format (e.g., Docker) for smooth integration, portability, and generalisability.

Fully integrate your solution with the AIoD Platform Components, Marketplace, and Business Navigator, implement your business plan, act as a platform beta-tester, and submit a sub-project with a Public Sector AI Adopter.

Deployment (Jul – Sep 2027)

€25,000 AI Provider & €15,000 AI Adopter (€40,000 per consortium)

DEPLOYAI #OC2

The Open Call funds companies with innovative AI solutions (TRL 7+) to integrate into the AIoD Platform, Marketplace, and Business Navigator, serve as beta-testers, and deploy their solutions within Public Sector AI Adopters to drive trustworthy AI adoption.

Stage 1 selects 16 AI Providers for platform integration, business model refinement, and beta-testing. Stage 2 selects 8 consortia (AI Provider + Public Sector AI Adopter) to deploy the solution in a real-world setting, culminating in a final Demo Day.

AI Providers can receive up to €60,000 in total (€35,000 in Stage 1 and €25,000 in Stage 2). Public Sector AI Adopters joining at Stage 2 can receive up to €15,000.

Products must be at TRL 7 or above and delivered in a containerised format (e.g., Docker or equivalent) to ensure portability, scalability, interoperability, and smooth platform integration.

Yes, AI Providers must identify and partner with a Public Sector AI Adopter and must showcase this in the application phase. A verification process will take place if they proceed to submit a joint sub-project for Stage 2 selection.

There are two mandatory in-person events:

  • Event 1 (May 2027): AI Talks + Pitching session to present Stage 1 integration outcomes and pitch sub-projects for Stage 2.
  • Event 2 (Late 2027 / Early 2028): Demo Day to showcase final implemented public sector use cases.

Representatives from both the AI Provider and AI Adopter are expected at Event 2.

Yes, applicants must be registered on the AIoD Platform and Business Navigator prior to submission.

Intellectual Property and Data Protection

You do. Applicants retain sole ownership of their respective IPR and solution results.

F6S Network Ireland Limited acts as the Data Controller under GDPR compliance. Data is stored securely on F6S, F6S Google Drive, and Microsoft Azure (Fraunhofer).

Yes. Evaluators sign strict confidentiality agreements, and selected applicants maintain data confidentiality during implementation and for 5 years post-completion.
