Test Proposal B

Test SME Beta
‹ Back to Open Call Winners
Test SME Beta proposes an AI-based predictive maintenance platform for critical energy infrastructure. The solution analyses sensor data from substations and transformers to detect early signs of failure. It aims to reduce unplanned outages and extend the lifetime of existing assets.

Background

Energy operators across Europe manage ageing infrastructure under growing demand. Most maintenance is still scheduled or reactive, which leads to costly outages and wasted resources. Better use of existing sensor data could change this.

Proposed solution

The platform combines machine learning models with real-time sensor streams to predict equipment failures days or weeks in advance. Operators receive clear alerts and recommended actions through a simple dashboard that integrates with their existing systems.

Objectives

  • Reduce unplanned downtime
  • Lower maintenance costs
  • Improve grid resilience
