Challenges

AI-Driven Forecasting for Grid Flexibility

Develop a predictive maintenance solution using AI and physics models to anticipate equipment failures, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance grid resilience.

Predictive Maintenance for Energy Infrastructure

Create a privacy-preserving federated learning framework for AI-driven demand-side management, optimizing energy use while ensuring privacy and compliance with trustworthy AI standards.

Smart Healthcare Insights Generation

Develop a solution that enables real-time monitoring of the scientific medical ecosystem, extracting valuable insights from vast, fragmented healthcare datasets while overcoming technical vocabulary challenges and maintaining data governance

Kubernetes-Enabled Real-World AI Solutions

Develop a Kubernetes-deployed AI solution that addresses a real-world problem in health, logistics, or climate, showcasing the practical application of AI through scalable, real-time data analysis.

AI-Builder Pipeline with NER+KG

Create a set of AI-Modules for AI-Builder that form modular pipelines to capture expert knowledge and provide verifiable, explainable answers through fine-tuned models, knowledge graphs, and interactive analysis.

Logical Reasoning and Memory Pipeline

Develop AI modules for AI-Builder that convert human language into predicate logic statements, enabling users to query logical models with reasoning steps, while incorporating memory for continuous learning and knowledge transfer.

AI-Builder Database Refactoring

Improve the performance of the AI-Builder by replacing the current dual-database setup with a single homogeneous database and a new persistence service.

Who Can Apply?

  • Eligible entities: AI Providers who are SMEs, or research organisations (single legal entities). Note: Stage 3 requires forming a consortium with an AI Adopter.
  • Geography: Officially registered in an EU Member State.
  • Technical readiness: AI Products at TRL 7 or above.
  • Technical aspects: The solution must be delivered in a containerised format (e.g. Docker) for smooth integration and generalisability.
